Menopause & Women’s Hormonal Health Personal Training

Training & Nutrition for hormonal health across all life stages

Hormonal health isn’t just something that affects women during menopause. Conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid conditions can impact women earlier in life too.

With the right approach to training, nutrition and lifestyle habits, it’s possible to support your body and feel stronger, healthier and more in control at every stage.

Metabolic & Hormonal Health

Hormonal and metabolic conditions such as PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and endometriosis can make managing energy levels, weight, and exercise feel more challenging.

The right approach to training and nutrition can play an important role in helping to support hormonal balance, improve metabolic health and build resilience in the body.

I work with women of all ages to develop safe, personalised exercise and lifestyle strategies that may help with:

  • Improving insulin sensitivity and metabolic health
  • Supporting healthy body composition
  • Managing fatigue and energy levels
  • Reducing inflammation through movement and nutrition
  • Building strength and confidence with exercise

Every woman’s experience with these conditions is different, so coaching is always tailored to your symptoms, lifestyle and goals, helping you build sustainable habits that support your long-term health and wellbeing.

Pregnancy & Postnatal Exercise

Staying active during pregnancy and returning to exercise after having a baby can feel daunting, especially with so much conflicting advice about what is safe and appropriate.

As a qualified antenatal and postnatal exercise specialist, I support women to stay active during pregnancy and safely rebuild strength, fitness and confidence after birth.

Exercise during and after pregnancy can help to:

  • Maintain strength and mobility
  • Support healthy weight management
  • Reduce common aches and pains
  • Improve energy and wellbeing
  • Rebuild core strength and stability after birth
  • Support a safe and gradual return to exercise

Every pregnancy and postnatal journey is different, which is why all training is tailored to your stage of pregnancy, recovery, medical guidance and personal goals.

The focus is always on helping you feel strong, supported and confident in your body throughout pregnancy and beyond

Personal Training for Menopause

Menopause shouldn’t mean slowing down. With the right support, it can be the start of your strongest years.

Does this sound familiar?

Many women start noticing changes in their mid 30s to early 40s but don’t always realise perimenopause may be the cause.

You might recognise some of these:

• Workouts that used to work no longer give the same results
• Increasing body fat around the midsection
• Slower recovery from exercise
• Energy levels that feel unpredictable
• Poor sleep or waking during the night
• Joint stiffness or aches
• Brain fog or reduced concentration
• Increased stress or feeling overwhelmed
• Feeling less confident in your body

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, or going mad — and there are practical, evidence-based strategies that can help.

Supporting Women Through Midlife & Beyond

How I can support you

My coaching can help you:

My coaching focuses on simple, sustainable habits that support your body during this stage of life.

Together we may work on:

Strength training
to maintain muscle mass, support metabolism and protect bone health.

Smart nutrition strategies
to support hormone health, manage weight and stabilise energy levels.

Fat loss without extreme dieting
helping reduce visceral fat that often increases after menopause.

Improving energy and sleep
through the right balance of exercise, recovery and lifestyle habits.

Understanding and building confidence in your body again
Remember learning a bit about periods at school, but not really learning about menopause too much? Same. And this is just one small reason, why I believe menopause can feel confusing. One of my main aims is to help you understand what’s happening in your body so you can make informed decisions about your health.

A Personalised Approach

Every woman experiences menopause differently. That’s why I take time to understand your:

  • health history
  • lifestyle
  • current symptoms
  • goals and confidence with exercise

From there we create a realistic, supportive plan that fits your life and helps you feel stronger physically and mentally.

The goal isn’t extreme dieting or punishing workouts.

It’s building strength, resilience and sustainable habits that support your body through change.

Whether you’re approaching menopause, currently going through it, or post-menopausal and still struggling with symptoms, the right training and nutrition approach can make a powerful difference.

Personal Training for male metabolic health

Do you only work with women?

Absolutely not!

While I have a specialist interest in supporting women through midlife and menopause, I work with both men and women.

Many men also experience hormonal and metabolic changes as they get older, including reduced energy levels, increased body fat, lower muscle mass and slower recovery. These changes are often linked to factors such as lifestyle, stress, sleep, nutrition and declining testosterone levels.

Through structured strength training, sensible nutrition and habit-based coaching, I help men improve body composition, rebuild strength, support metabolic health and feel more energised in everyday life.

My coaching always focuses on evidence-based training and realistic lifestyle changes that support long-term health and performance.

Men’s Health & Performance

While much of my specialist work focuses on supporting women through midlife and menopause, I also work with many men who want to improve their health, strength and long-term fitness.

As men get older, it’s common to experience changes in energy levels, body composition, recovery and metabolism. Factors such as stress, poor sleep, busy work schedules and reduced activity can contribute to increased body fat, loss of muscle mass and lower overall performance.

With the right approach, these changes can absolutely be improved.

Through structured strength training, sensible nutrition and consistent lifestyle habits, I help men:

• Build and maintain muscle
• Reduce body fat and improve metabolic health
• Increase energy and physical performance
• Improve strength, mobility and resilience
• Create sustainable habits that support long-term health

My approach focuses on evidence-based training and realistic strategies that work alongside real life, work commitments and family responsibilities.

“I worked with Jen at Nuffield for around three months after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes the previous year. Together we developed a nutrition and exercise plan that was tailored to my needs. The right balance of diet and training helped me regain control of my health and I am now living medication-free. Jen’s knowledge and support were outstanding, and I would highly recommend her to anyone."

John

"Jenny is as complete a personal trainer as you could wish for. Her knowledge is encyclopaedic, her sessions targeted and well thought through and she has an incredible knack of knowing how far you can go. Oh, and her sessions are great fun. I can't recommend her highly enough."

Rick

“I’m the strongest I’ve ever been in my life — and I actually enjoy training now. Jen’s coaching gives you structure, real goals and support around training, diet and lifestyle. You don’t get that from many PT's. If you get the chance to train with her, take it.”

Neil

“Working with Jen is simply great. She is a fabulous mix of gentle and tough combined. She always shows high empathy and great understanding along my journey.

Jen is uncompromising in her coaching, the fact that I find it tough sometimes does not deviate from her focus and determination that I will succeed.

She is an expert in understanding the human body and how it works and sometimes why it doesn’t.

I always feel safe during our sessions, and I am in now the best shape of my life! The results speak for themselves”
